Lebanese Organization for Green Schools (LOGS)
Founded in January 2016, the Lebanese Organization for Green Schools (LOGS) is a non-political, non-sectarian, independent NGO based in Beirut.
We believe that real change begins with education. Schools are the ideal place to foster environmental awareness, shape values, and build responsible habits. With students representing nearly one quarter of Lebanon’s population and spending around fifteen years in the school system, the potential for impact is immense. Education for sustainable development equips schools and students alike with ethics that respect people and nature, making sustainability an everyday practice.
LOGS was created by a group of passionate individuals who shared this vision. Today, LOGS brings together education, environment, and humanity, planting seeds for a brighter and more sustainable tomorrow.
Our approach begins at the top—training administrators and staff in green practices across all school disciplines: languages, mathematics, sciences, and humanities. We help schools set up environmental clubs tailored to their own community, organize awareness sessions for students, and transform school buildings into living examples of sustainability and hands-on learning spaces.
At LOGS, we believe that Lebanon’s children hold the power to drive change and build a better future.
